"Directions" by ARK

Where am I headed?  Where are you headed?

What’s the point of doing everything we’re doing now?

What is this road we’re taking, where is it leading us, and why is it taking us there?

Nobody can see the future, and therefore, nobody could ever answer those questions. But they say we are the ones who build our futures. That, I could say is real. Truth is there is no road. Or at least, it’s not yet finished. The road we are taking is not complete. The direction we are following is not permanent. It’s under construction…it’s under our construction.

I say, we must be careful where we lay our cement. We should take notice of the path we our creating. We must plan our actions so that we may reach our so-called “futures”.

I read once that a person may live different lives. The future we have is varied, and it all depends on what choices we make and what decisions we stick to.

We are the only ones who can answer those questions above: Where do you want to go? What are you doing now? What is it for? How will it help your future? How well are you building that road?

Another confusing fact: There is no destination. There is no definite time or place where we can say: “I’ve reached my destination.”Even at life’s end, we do not know what lies ahead. We can never tell which “the end” is. Even if you reach your dreams, you will still begin to want something else. That’s human life.

I think what truly matters is where we want to be at this very moment. Here I am blogging. This is what I want to so right now. Later, I will probably watch Dev as he plays with his new Playstation. That is the near-future for me. About long-term goals, I guess I will stick to what I have been doing for quite some time: studying. That has been my life’s direction for a while.

As for VERY long-term goals…I do have plans. But circumstances change…life itself changes. Opportunities for me would constantly be coming and going. I will try to catch up with them, thus changing the direction of my destiny. To say it simply: I know where I want to go, and I have an idea how to get there. But what matters to me now is making the most of my journey, and opening myself up to change.
I have met a lot of people (for I have always been interested in people.) and have seen visions of their directions.

Some are determined to reach what they’ve been working on for years.

Some are unsure of where they want to go.

Some are on a certain track, but does not really enjoy being there.

Some used to be uncomfortable with where they stood, but have learned to love it.

Sometimes when I come across strangers in sidewalks, I think to myself: “so many faces, so many names, so many stories…” I can’t quite believe how well our roads overlap. We come across people whose direction is so clear that we decide to follow it.

But we must remember that we are on Earth for a reason. We live for a special purpose. It is up to us to find what that is.

"Never Too Old!" by DEV

Recently, I got a hold of this Playstation 2 set, and I’ve been playing games like an addict since then. There are a few things I still complain about, like the fact that the package didn’t go with a single fighting game. But hey! A free PS2? Who wouldn’t want that? Besides, I have my friends to supply me with the games I need.

So I borrowed a couple of fighting games (obviously my favorite gaming genre) from my classmate, only to find out that only one of them seemed compatible with my system. That’s alright. I’ll keep trying ‘til I get my fighting fix. Anyway, I’d like to thank that classmate of mine who gave some of those games to me. It’s awesome!

Anyway, I’ll be borrowing a few more from my other classmates, ‘cause I’m really not into most of the games I have here. Or maybe I’ll learn to download and burn these games…maybe I won’t.

THEN AGAIN…THIS ARTICLE ISN’T ABOUT MY PS2. Well, yeah, it’s sorta about gaming, but I chose to focus on a certain game tonight: POKEMON.

Yep, this is all about Pokémon. Playing all these PS2 games, I realized how I still very much enjoy catching Pokémon. I mean, after finishing all the gyms and beating the Elite Four over millions of times, I still find myself starting a new game: a new adventure. Somehow you know that it’s gonna be different from the one before.

You’re never too old for Pokémon. Those people who program the game can’t be young, can they? Unless they’re super talented in computer programming, young people can’t exactly create “Pokémon”. Knowing that old people made this game; I guess it’s alright to let old people play it too. Not that I’m old. I’m young, wild and awesomazing.

When it comes to playing Pokémon, I always prefer the Fire Red and the Leaf Green version. That’s ‘cause these two games contain the original set of Pokémon: the first ones made. And yeah, the new versions are sorta cool too. But nothing beats the original. Heck, everybody knows Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Charmander and of course, Pikachu.

(LOL. The spelling check corrected my spelling of Pikachu. The proper spelling was "spinach".)

<------ NOT a Pikachu. :)

<----- The ever loveable Pikachu.

(Sheesh, this is getting long. I mean, look at all those red lines I’m gonna have to edit because of this stupid keyboard. I have GOT to buy a new one soon. And oh, I guess I forgot to take a visit at the nearest mall to check the price.)

So I’m gonna keep this short and simple: Everybody loves Pokémon. Even compared to the newest games out now on every gaming console, Pokémon can stand on its own. It MUST be one of the most shaping game in the history of game-shaping! Keep playing trainer, and someday you’ll be the very best…like no one ever was…

Things You Didn't Know: KEYBOARD

1. On a normal QWERTY keyboard, the word ‘Typewriter’ is the longest word that can be made using the letters only on one row of the keyboard, which of coarse is the top row.

2.  The QWERTY Keyboard was created by Christopher Sholes in 1868 and is now the most common type of keyboard used.

3.  When inputting at the keyboard, a person should keep the shoulders relaxed with the elbows at the side, with the keyboard and mouse positioned so that reaching is not necessary
