There is no future, is there?
All we have is now. And it’s all we’ll ever have. I’m not
talking about the end of the world. Nobody knows when that will happen. I’m
talking about the fact that there is no literal future for us to reach. In 500
years time, people will still be waiting for their so called future. Everyone
is forever in wait.
What we fail to realize is, THIS IS THE FUTURE. Every
second, we are living the lives we’ve been waiting for.
Imagine, people before (say thousands of years ago) didn’t
have what we have now. They couldn’t text each other, or send emails. Sending
mail or talking personally was their only way of communication. Did they ever
imagine what the future would look like? Did they have any idea at all, that they
could talk to people from places so far and distant? For them, it was only a
dream. We are living their dream.
Did they ever think they would be able to fly? We could. If
we wanted to fly, we would simply enter planes and zoom off. We have
helicopters and jets too. People before probably never thought it possible, or
saw it coming.
Our lives have become so technologically convenient, that we
rarely need to spend most of our energy. Yes, you can say that life is
stressful and tiring. But imagine what you would do if you had ALL those work,
and didn’t have the technology to do them? You would probably be dead by now.
Besides, the only reason we bury ourselves with all these work, is because we
know that our technology can handle it for us.
We are living the future. Maybe we’re still a bit ambitious,
but we’ve almost got it all. Tell me what you dream of, and I can assure you
that people from OUR “future” will create it, so that THEIR people could enjoy
it. We might not be there to see it come true, but I do believe it will be
there.
I want to see Mother Nature safe. Who knows, maybe someone
will invent something that can wipeout pollution. I want peace. People will do
something to reach that peace. The future will be at peace.
I’m not a fortuneteller. I’m just saying that what we have
now, is something THEY didn’t use to have. What we don’t have now, is something
that SOMEBODY ELSE will have in the near future.
