So I saw this commercial announcing the premiere episode of
the Glee Project Season 2 would be today, and I was psyched. You already know
that I’m a huge Gleek, but it’s actually my first time to watch The Glee
Project. I barely cared about Season 1, but seeing how talented the first batch
of winners was, I started to get interested.
The Glee Project is basically a reality contest that tests a
group of young people with singing, dancing and acting exercises. The winner
would get a role in the hit-TV series, Glee.
Last year, there were four winners namely Samuel Larsen (who
now plays Joe Hart on Glee; right), Damian McGinty (now plays Rory Flanagan: below), Lindsay
Pierce (a.k.a. Harmony), and Alex Newell (a.k.a. Wade “Unique” Adams). Samuel
and Damian got six-episode contracts, while both Lindsay and Alex got two
episodes on Glee. All four have appeared on Glee Season 3 and may return next
season.
The winner (or winners, maybe) of The Glee Project Season 2
will also appear on Glee Season 4. But who will it be? Watching the new contestants
perform on their first task (dubbed as “Individuality”) I already got my eyes
on some of them. I don’t know who I’m rooting for, though. I barely know them.
Plus, most of them were good. It would all come down to who would inspire Ryan
Murphy (executive producer of Glee) into writing new characters.
Like in American Idol, there was the so-called “Bottom 3”,
but this time they all had to sing for their lives. In the end, this guy named
Maxfield went home. It must suck to leave the show on its premiere episode.
Poor dude.
Anyway, I’m looking forward to the next episode. I can’t
actually wait. Wonder who will go further and make their Glee dreams come true?
Need more info on The Glee Project Season 2?
P.S. If I could, I’d audition for the Glee Project too. That
would be awesome! J
