When I first heard that the People’s Champ lost to his
challenger, I have to admit that I was glad. I saw it as “good news”, to be
honest. I admire how great Manny Pacquiao is, inside the ring. But I was hoping
he’d follow his mother’s advice and retire from it as soon as possible. That’s
only because I wanted him to leave the industry gloriously- his record
remarkably flawless.
When I heard he hadn’t retired, I was secretly hoping he’d
lose, just to open his eyes a bit. Now that he lost, I wish Manny Pacquiao got
the message.
I got what I want now. What I wanna see next is a rematch: A
cleaner one. I know it’s pretty clear to everyone who REALLY won the fight. I
just want Manny to prove himself again and THEN retire.
We honestly don’t want a Pacquiao-Mayweather fight. Sorry to
say, but the latter is a coward. He’s laughing at Manny now, but that’s all he
can do. He’s too scared to lose to the real champion. Plus, he cheats. A person
like him does not deserve a match with a clean fighter like Manny.
If the match happens though, I’d like to see Manny Pacquiao
punch the smile off Mayweather’s face (this might be surprising you. I’m not
usually like this. Mayweather just really irritates me) If they ever face off,
it would be like a superhero versus super villain fight. That would be
interesting.
On the lighter side, I can’t help but laugh when Dev and I watched
the news and saw Mommy Dionisia’s (Manny Pacquiao’s equally famous mother)
interview. She was so mad at Timothy Bradley and believes her son was cheated (to
which we all agree). Mommy Dionisia showed her motherly love in her own unusual
way: by actively asking for a rematch. Now THAT is a cool mom.
I know Manny Pacquiao would beat Bradley during the rematch
on November. That’s no question. A champion will always be a champion. Now if
only our champion would agree to pass on the crown, he would not only be a
champion but also a legend.
