I’m starting to love the sun.
I might have already mentioned that I love waking up to
sunny mornings. But I may have forgotten to tell you much I hate hot
afternoons. And I’m sure I’m not the only one who hates hot nights. But that
doesn’t matter now. I’m starting to love the sun.
A sunny day would mean no rain. And no rain gets rid of the possibility of
flood. You see it floods here often. During the rainy season muddy water
dominates the streets. The worst part is “muddy water” isn’t just made of mud.
It’s got a lot of other disgusting things that we, umm, flush down the toilet.
With a violent storm comes its twin sister, the flood.
I hate it when it floods. Water would fill the house’s
ground floor and it would make us feel trapped. I don’t like that.
Now summer has ended, and the season I so dread has arrived.
The sun won’t be around much to protect me, and I hope Dev and I would survive
this smoothly.
Don’t you love the sun? I mean, it may eventually explode
and turn into a black hole, but look at everything it’s giving us. It brings us
light and warmth. It gives us reason to head to the beach and relax.
Kids hate the sun. To them, it only signals their daily trip
to school. The sun also limits the sleeping hours of those who work. The sun is
also bound to drown all of us, once it melts down all of the ice caps. There
are plenty of reasons to despise that big star. But me, I love the sun. To me,
it means light…it means freedom.
I guess it’s a bit too late now. Storms are brewing. Yes,
the sun will still be there, but this time it would be covered by the dark
clouds.
